i'll have to do the dna mod myself, to resize flavors _awesome_ orb open default.xap from mainmenu.xip. scroll right to the very bottom and you'll see this:

Play around with it. It looks a great a little bit smaller (a bit like doc ocks fusion from spidy 2).

Well this is not any new skin, but it is one heck of tHc original look alike. That's right this is tHc Lite.

Just a modification of Aston's great pill skin.
Original orb stays intact and one custom model is displayed inside it.
Too bad the dashboard doesnt support environment mapping...

SSChevy2001, should be not much of a problem. But it won't look like the one from the game. I presume it will look flat without shading.
Couldnt that halo textures be exported with some mod tool? maybe someone could send them to me. That would save a lot of time.
On the other hand, the ringworld in the game looked kinda boring, maybe we could use some more eyecandy here and there.

i havn't put it up for download, and don't intend to. I'm sorry, but it's not my skin to take credit for, it's gasclowns, all i did was simply add the code for the DNA and added flavors orb. You can do this yourself, all you have to do is download Gasclown's XBMC skin for Thc (allxboxskins) and then add the DNA and the orb manually. It's not hard to do at all.

Halo tHclitePlay with it and correct any glitches you'll find.

And somebody please make a decent skin with all the hexbe stuff and so on...
Not sure though about the way tHc handles textured meshes. Maybe it's not made for that...

(but one spike per tile)

Oh, the pill, right. I forgot to put it online. Will be up sometime this week.
Dont know about the cellwall, if its a mesh - we can change it. I haven't played with it yet...
What's next? hummm, maybe move on to 2Gam or Blackstormx and check their textureing possibilities, or I'll try to convince the dude who wrote the .XM exporter to write a better version.

can we scale your halo ring (i've tried but blackscreen) would love to get it/them "inside" the orb.

PS: hope you dont mind me playing with yr halo.xm (was gonna say ring - but that sounds suss!)
edit: i've cranked up the revs on flavors rings to 4.2 and the whole mainmenu scale to 0.9 and it looks awesome and no slowdown.

yep leave the ring in for vis but speed up the revs (when in visualisation) a value of 4 for rpm looks cool.

To add back the halo ring in the full screen visual just open the default.xip->default.xap look for function OnInfo() and remove the following

if you get the pack and apply it, even on fresh copy, your dash will look _exactly_ like this in three steps. matching orb/greenring fix and textures for main, hdd (and subs), setting and control panel menus + music freeze fix.
Edit: The rings and orbs both spin and twirl on axis(looks cool).

Wooow, looks cool Gasclown. I really like this sterile, minimalistic look.
Something I found out... when you overlay 2 objects on the same position and give the second one the material name "black80" it will show up as a wireframe.
It doesnt always work, I think the correct order is essential, but you can achieve some cool fx.
I'll get a config ready this evening to demonstrate what I mean.
