'cause they are not finalized (still workin' on 3rd screen submenu so u c they are lot of updates, & w/ axs it's not easy (mail etc...)
when they're finished (probably w/ final release from tHc i'll post them...

hi guys im a total noob to all this hacking of the xbox, well changing the default look of the default dash anyway, can sum1 please post a pre-compiled version of all the files that are needed for sum dashes. it would be very helpful .thanks

VERRY NICE! Although, how does the background come into play when a DVD movie is being played in 16:9 or in 4:3 mode? Does a hint of the background show up on the bottom of the screen when a 16:9 mode DVD movie is playing and or when you go from the Dashboard, to a DVD movie? Does the background pop up in and out. Why do I ask this, because I had this ocurr when I added the Inertia's Matriculation v1.1 on my Pre-release tHC Green Dashbaord. While going from the dashboard to a DVD movie, it would show the Matrix green background then the movie main menus, then when I started the movie, I would see a short Matrix background and then the beggining of the movie would start. Also, in 4:3 mode on a movie, I would see a tiny bit of the green Matrix background on the verry bottom of the screen while a movie was playing.

- the orb spins
-edit the default.xap, search for waver and change it to spinner
-fool around with the rpm 2 is still fairly slow

i still have to figure out how to take screenshots instead of whippin out the digitalcamera

Here's the finished skin I was showing off earlier. From now on I'll be putting all of my skins on a page of my own as well as on here (this thread's getting a little too busy, tbh). I'll probably start doing Evox versions n' shit like that.

As per usual, request a 4:3 version if you particularly want one.

Please don't shoot me for not posting a skin and just akin' about them but (first WOW!), er do I need to make a whole secondary dash on e: for these to work, and can someone direct me to the place I learn how to add tabs (or just replace the xbox live one if that prevents the clock issue)

Nah, I designed it specifically as a dashboard BG. As such it's too small too be used as a wallpaper without boosting the size in Photoshop which would, of course, kill the quality.

Not that I'd planned on doing any skinning this evening, but I had been meaning to do one in light of the fact that 70gb of my Xbox HD is now dedicated to X-Files episodes.

Good job I went ahead, though, as this is the best Xbox skin I've done yet! The crappy TV photo doesn't show you just how good the new orb looks, though you'll be able to see for yourselves tomorrow when I upload it all to my site.

No 4:3 of this one, I doubt. If someone really, REALLY wants one done I might be swayed, but I'd have to be in a good, patient mood.

This is my very first dash skin! Im very pleased with it actually. Tell me what you think. I removed the cell-effects from all xaps. Makes it look cleaner. Use a soundtrack from the Kill Bill movie to get the maximum Kill Bill 'feel'.

Ah thanks man! Nice words from the best skinner!!

But you should of course go ahead and do the Kill Bill skin as well, you have more experience than me. This was my first attempt, i am pleased however with it. I use with the green dash.... not sure if that is the best color to go with... i tried orange and blue as well......

I would be happy if you (Inertia) wanted to host my skin.



One thing... what does default2.xap and default3.xap in music_playedit2.xip do? I havent change anything in them...(?)

Changed the skin a little. Now its used withe ORANGE thc instead of green. The colors are more clean and i removed Gogo.

It's an alignment fix for the text in the MusicPlayedit menus. I started using it in my Matriculation skins and have used it ever since; it sets the text in those menus to align from the right and not the left. This looks better and stops the text clashing with the orb.

From trying out Jbone's latest patch of the tHc dash I can see he's implementing this change himself now. So when the next version (the one with the glitches ironed out) gets released the alignment fix won't be necessary.

Chili, you really think so? I think there is too much "going on" in the first one. And the green dash doesnt seem right to that picture.
The orange however is more distinct and clear. hm...


Is it possible to use two thc-dashes with the same color? both directories are called tHc_Dash_v1O.10027100 (for example) and I cant rename one of them....
